Job Description:JOB PURPOSE To play an independent role in order to address the business units requirement, to support the procurement function in general and to have a robust reporting. To formulate and drive a consistent approach towards all Sourcing & amp amp Purchasing within the business, ultimately ensuring that value for money is maximised and cost savings are generated. WORK RELATIONS Main interfaces- with whom do you have regular contact in carrying out your duties (whom do you report to/who do you functionally report to/whom do you have interface within and outside the organization?) Internal Procurement team Other business and support functions External Vendors and service providers and their representatives. Auditors Reporting : Sr. Manager Procurement CRITICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Vendors sourcing and alternate vendors for products and services. Adherence to SLAs & amp amp TATs, compliance of Procurement & amp amp Business Policies Adherence to statutory laws/regulations Collaborate, Support and Lead the Procurement Team Reports: MIS, Open PRs & amp amp POs, Finance Provision, Statements Document management & amp amp Audit compliance Evaluation of better substitutes Good networks of vendors and service providers Developing effective supply chain strategies and logistics Skill and competency to develop and nurture the team KEY SUCCESS FACTOR Cost effective purchases and related Savings Networking and maintain Relationships with Internal Stakeholders, Finance & amp amp Vendors Adherence to the SLA and meeting the business requirement Review of business requirements and timely escalations Availability of alternate source for procurement Quality of data and related reporting on KPIs of the purchase process Rising to the occasion and adapting to changing business scenarios Enabling the finance team in timely accounting of good and services MAJOR CHALLENGES Lack of knowledge on new Products & amp amp Services due to nature of business & amp amp requirements. Last minute urgent requirements from Stakeholders Non-compliance of Procurement Policy by Business Stakeholders Sourcing of vendor in short time. On time payment to vendors Lack of clarity/documentation on the requirement SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & amp amp COMPETENCIES Bachelor or Masters Degree with min. of 5 years experience in Procurement Functional: Knowledge of processes, products, ERP, Business Tools Influential: Relates to people, builds relationships, effectively presents arguments & amp amp a strong negotiator.
