Job Description:We are looking for an experienced professional with strong functional expertise, business acumen and people skills to lead our clients Engineering IT function working from Bangalore, India office. The scope of the Engineering IT Director is to partner with Hardware & Software Engineering Leadership teams manage, coordinate, and support all IT Infrastructure resources, services, and solutions provided by the Engineering Compute IT to business units or functional groups at a specific Engineering Site or global teams. This role may also serve as a technical IT resource at various levels of the Engineering Compute IT value proposition, depending on the requirements of the Engineering Partners. Responsibilities: Coordination, management, supervision of and working with IT resources (onsite or otherwise) required to support the various business units as well as geographic Site IT infrastructure and facilities (datacenters/labs). Responsible for overall engineering IT service delivery to India HW Engineering. Senior technical resource/advisor to Engineers, Managers, Directors, and Vice Presidents for the various business units and Engineering Compute IT as well as IT support staff on many IT-related technologies. Work closely with the Engineering Compute IT leadership to influence and ensure alignment with the global strategy. Direct technical support for urgent/critical issues and for issues that fall outside the scope/expertise of normal IT support channels root cause analysis of issues and subsequent inclusion within standard company IT support channels. Planning, budgeting, and purchasing as it relates to Engineering Compute IT infrastructure hardware and software for the India HW Engineering community. Planned and unplanned event coordination and notification between IT and business units with respect to technical dependencies in the areas of application and product deployments, network and system downtimes and maintenance windows, and security issues. Devise a Global Service Delivery Model to enable Global Engineering IT initiatives - formulate the required Service catalogues, SLA, KPI, build support structure (vendor + in-house) to meet the business needs. Collaborate with Global Leadership and set up Governance mechanisms for a hybrid delivery model consisting of both In-house & Managed Services teams.
