Job Description:Broad objective of the role Drive the operations and processes around commercial management, ensure efficient bid management and providing the necessary sales support to the sales teams with the objective of - enabling sales to win profitable/deliverable business - providing timely and efficient sales support to account managers - creating efficiency and effectiveness in the sales organisation and managing and upholding sales governance. - improving achievement of sales revenues targets for the segment Other knowledge/skills A good understanding of sales processes, products and services, market and competition. Key Responsibilities 1. Commercial Management Establish mission of Commercial Ops team and create delivery model and processes for its achievement Review and approve, as necessary, standardized and simplified commercial ops processes and metrics Frame a commercial structure which is feasible and ensures overall profitability for the deal for each large business. Drive and oversee operations and processes of commercial management team Track timely pricing and commercial support to regional and global teams Review and authorize, as necessary, business cases of complex deals for approval from cross functional teams and senior management Track adherence to approvals matrix for commercial deals approvals. Performance Metrics - -Improvement in sales productivity/ efficiency ' # Achievement of sales revenue target # Accuracy and TAT # Adherence to governance processes # Win rates 2. Bid Management Formulate strategy, approach and model for bid management team Accountable for all Bid Management processes and operations related to less complex bids support for global organisation. Devising the strategy and development of the bid content library (such as products/services and reusable bid content). Conduct teams' process setting and operations Study industry best practices and inculcate in the team to better manage internal teams and satisfy customers Lead bid process within each region to analyse success rate and deal margins Resolve escalations, from internal teams and team leads, around resource challenges, complex sales opportunities and engagement with senior management. Performance Metrics - -Bid win rates # Feedback from sales teams 3. Sales Support To formulate the sales support strategy for region to enhance sales effectiveness. Ensure orders are validated first time in a timely manner. Assemble various components of order through various back end processes and co ordinate the entire activity. Performance Metrics - # Clean Order in SFDC -TAT of Order Processing 4. Process Automation Define processes based on sales operational requirement. Develop or enhance existing processes and work with stakeholders to agree change. Coordinate with sales automation for automation of process. Meet the corporate governance mandate of the organization Performance Metrics - Process Improvement No of Processes automated 5. Team Management Regularly review team structure and assess talent requirements Participate in the recruitment and selection process Conduct goal setting and performance review for the team Drive team development, engagement and reward initiatives Coach and mentor team members as required and ensure resolution of any people issues.
