Mewar state or Udaipur state was established in 530 AD and was ruled by several dynasties such as Mori, Guhilot and Sisodia. Mewar kingdom was spread across several regions of present-day Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. Chittorgarh was the capital of Mewar state, which was later captured by Akbar in 1568.
